Sometimes we run the air conditioner because the house feels sticky even though the temperature is OK. Occasionally running the dehumidifier (we recently bought) lowers the amount of moisture in the air and helps us not run the AC as much. We save money and conserve energy.

If you make soup from scratch or out of a can, there can be too much fat or oil at the top. To remove the fat easily, simply float a piece of bread on the top of the soup to sop up the oil. The fat will stick to the bread for easy removal.
